The Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) is a convenient and secure way to support church giving, manage regular donations, and reduce parish administration. It provides a simple but efficient way for you to give regular financial support to your church and enables more stable and predictable funding for mission and ministry in your parish.
Through your generous donations, the Parish Giving Scheme has processed over £2 million of donations and Gift Aid for Southwark’s churches in 2023.
From 1 January 2024, the Church of England will be making PGS available to all parishes and dioceses, following a change of ownership to the Church of England Central Services.
Churches already benefitting from the scheme will continue to receive the same free service. The PGS team will remain in place to process gifts, Gift Aid claims and statements, and gifts will continue to be processed in their entirety for the giver’s chosen parish.

Read moreThe scheme has been in operation since 2008. From November 2020 the scheme became available to churches in the Diocese of Southwark, free of charge for churches and donors. Over 70 of our churches have so far signed up, and more than 1500 givers across the Diocese choose to use PGS to give generously to their churches.

- combating static giving with an option for donors to annually increase gifts by the rate of inflation
- 100% of donations go to your parish from the PGS each month
- free at point of use to our parishes.

Register your church for PGS
To register your parish or church with PGS, please pass a resolution by your PCC, download the PGS registration form (.pdf, 176kB) and return it via e-mail to [email protected]. If you are part of a multi-church parish or a team ministry, please contact us for a specific registration form.
Give to your church via PGS
It is easier than ever to give to your church through the Parish Giving Scheme. Once your church has signed up for PGS, and you know your parish’s PGS code and name, you can set up your giving via the Parish Giving Scheme website, telephone service (Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm) or fill out a gift form from your parish.
