St Thomas with St Stephen is a diverse, welcoming and intergenerational Anglican church serving Telford Park, Clapham Park, Balham and Streatham Hill.

Children, young people and families are central to our vision. We want them not simply to attend church activities but to belong, worship, serve, lead and flourish as full members of the church community.

We believe ministry begins with relationships. Following the example of Jesus, we seek to build an inclusive church where people of every age and background grow together in faith, worship and service.

Purpose of the Role

The Children, Youth and Families Ministry Lead will provide strategic leadership for ministry with children, young people and families, helping them grow as disciples of Jesus and become active participants in the life of the church.

Working alongside clergy, lay leaders and volunteers, the postholder will develop a sustainable model of ministry that equips others for leadership, strengthens intergenerational church life and builds strong relationships with families and the wider community.

Alongside this leadership role, the successful candidate will also take an active part in delivering children’s and youth ministry within a collaborative team.

Accountable to: PCC
Hours: Full-time. It is anticipated that this will be a full time post (37.5 hours) but we are open to discussing part time and other flexible arrangements
Salary: £35-£40k per annum (based on full time working hours)
