Monday March 8 is International Women’s Day and, this year, the theme is ‘Choose to Challenge‘.

We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world.

From challenge comes change, so let’s all choose to challenge.

The Revd Canon Anna Eltringham, Dean of Women’s ministry, said “On International Women’s Day and during Women’s History Month, we rejoice and give thanks for women’s ministry past and present in the Diocese of Southwark and the global Church and pledge to continue to challenge inequality and gender bias as we work together for an inclusive world.”

Join with us and the Revd Canon Anna, and show your commitment to choose to challenge inequality, call out bias, question stereotypes, and help forge an inclusive world by raising a hand, snapping a selfie, and sharing on social media with #ChooseToChallenge – tag us @SouthwarkCofE so we can see them too.
