Children’s artwork reading “Climate emergency”
Earlier this year our Investment Committee, following the Diocesan Synod’s motion on Ethical Divestment, has completed its transition to remove fossil fuels from the Diocesan portfolio.
This had taken us longer to achieve than we’d originally hoped due to the complexity of a charity setting up accounts with new managers under current financial regulations, and in some cases the administrative hurdles set by funds on sale orders. We now hold investments with two investment managers, who manage the portfolio in accordance with the Synod Motion, and the National Guidelines, on ethical investment. Thank you all for your patience while we completed this.
