There are a number of events that run throughout the year aimed and encouraging and supporting people to explore their vocation. Feel free to contact the vocations department for more information about any of these events.
Vocations Forums provide an opportunity to talk and listen to others who also believe that God may be calling them, to reflect on what the Bible says about ministry and to think about your own journey of faith so far. At the Forum you will have an opportunity to talk and listen to others who also believe that God may be calling them, to reflect on what the Bible says about ministry and to think about your own journey of faith so far. Many find the Vocations Forums lively and engaging and a useful opportunity to help discern their sense of calling and to find out more about the vocational discernment process.
If you and your parish priest or chaplain agree that you should explore further your sense of vocation, they will recommend you to attend a Vocations Forum, which will take place at Trinity House, near London Bridge. Your parish priest or chaplain can book you on a Vocations Forum by emailing Sue Stewart, Administrative Assistant to the DDO.

Vocations Conferences provide the opportunity to explore and reflect on your calling in a friendly and inspiring environment. These are fully funded by the Diocese and so are free to all participants. All participants will need the support of their incumbent or chaplain.
Vocations Fairs offer an opportunity to explore your vocation in an informal setting, with stalls representing different ministries both lay and ordained. They are an ideal place to come and find out what resources and support are on offer to help you discern your own sense of vocation. This year our Vocations Team will host two fairs in each of the Kingston, Croydon and Woolwich Episcopal Areas, but they are open to participants from any area. Pre-registration is not required.
Vocations Quiet Days offer a mixture of short talks, led reflections, worship, and plenty of space for silent prayer and reflection, giving your the opportunity to explore your own journey of faith, and to reflect on the ways in which God is calling you.
