St Margaret the Queen Church is looking to appoint a knowledgeable, hard working, honest, dependable person to act as Caretaker for the entire church building and grounds.
The Role
A self motivated individual committed to providing a high quality of building and facilities control work to ensure the safety of the church, by keeping the premises clean and tidy throughout the day, while also carrying out appropriate maintenance / health & safety checks and duties.
Key responsibilities
● Ensuring the church building is well looked after during the day
● Appropriate maintenance tasks
● Periodic health & safety and building checks
● Security check and opening and closing of the building as required
● Grounds maintenance
● Liaising with contractors. An understanding of building control, maintenance and electrical systems and IT literacy is essential for the post.
