Thank you for your generous contributions to this year’s Lent Call, which is raising funds for projects that focus on peace with justice in the Diocese of Jerusalem and the Middle East, and resilience and well-being across our Link Dioceses in Zimbabwe.
As well as raising close to £4,000 so far, we thank you to our schools and parishes who have joined us in this time of prayer, worship and contemplation. There is still time to donate towards the projects we have chosen this year, and we continue to welcome prayer for these projects and our Link Dioceses now and throughout the year.
The Bishop of Southwark, The Rt Revd Christopher Chessun, gives his thanks for your generous support towards this year’s Lent Call projects.
Friends, thank you for your contributions to the Lent Call this year which will support projects in the Diocese of Jerusalem and in Zimbabwe.
I am particularly thankful for your generosity when so many are feeling the ongoing impact of the high cost of living. Our commitment to our brothers and sisters in Zimbabwe and the Holy Land continues throughout the year, and is a genuine partnership in which we encourage one another and learn from each other.
Please continue to pray for the projects which you have supported: for the Anglican Council of Zimbabwe and its projects to for well-being and resilience across our partner Dioceses, for St Martha’s House in Bethlehem and for the Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza, which has continued to operate despite taking a direct hit in the war. Pray for peace with justice, and be encouraged that the light of Christ will never be extinguished.
May God bless you and those you love this Eastertide.
