Rev Beth Lewis, Bishop of Croydon’s Disability Advisor with a focus on Neurodiversity writes:

It has been great to see so many churches seeking to find out more about neurodivergence, and I still encourage you to reach out to become more aware of the various neuro-differences which congregation members and leaders will have.

This year, NCW encourages us to move beyond awareness, and start taking action; to not only understand neurodiversity but taking concrete steps to building an inclusive culture, providing reasonable adjustments, and even more importantly in churches, to recognise and celebrate the valuable, unique talents of neurodivergent people.

Neurodiversity is built into God’s perfect creation, only together can we be the Body of Christ, and many neurodivergent people are seeking a church community where they are fully accepted, embraced, and utilised.  What one step can you and your church take to move from awareness to action this year?
