Mission Practitioners
If you are an Incumbent needing hands-on support, connect with a Mission Practitioner - a CYP specialist who works alongside your existing volunteers to be a catalyst for mission.
Could you be a Mission Practitioner?
Do you have a passion for sharing Jesus and helping children, young people, and families grow in faith? Use your experience in children’s or youth ministry as a volunteer, leader, or paid worker to make a difference in another church.
We are seeking experienced volunteer or paid leaders of children, youth or family ministry from across the Diocese to come alongside a local church’s existing and new volunteers and be a catalyst for mission to help them grow their children, young people and family (CYPF) ministries. Read FAQs here
You will provide missional guidance and practical support in growing the faith of children and young people, especially at key transition phases in their lives. You will support and advise parishes to build volunteer capacity by modelling CYP ministry in action, enabling volunteers to take the lead and grow in confidence in delivering effective ministry with children, young people and families.
We want to reflect the diversity of the community our churches serve. Therefore, while of course, we welcome all applications from interested and suitably experienced people, we would particularly welcome applicants from Global Majority Heritage (GMH) and other under-represented groups.

Partner with a Mission Practitioner, an experienced children and youth ministry leader who can help develop and strengthen ministry with children, young people and families (CYPF).
A Mission Practitioner is a paid, part-time (1 day / up to 9 hours per week) leader, funded by the Diocese, who brings practical expertise and fresh energy to support your church to build sustainable and thriving CYPF ministry.
