Would you be interested in developing your skills and knowledge in planning and organising, co-ordinating projects, and gaining experience of a range of work with a local and national significance, whilst contributing to the aims and vision of the Diocese of Southwark, part of the Church of England.
This is an opportunity to work closely with the Bishop of Kingston in supporting his work with the clergy and people of the parishes in the Kingston area, in planning his diary and co-ordinating a range of events.
We are seeking interest from graduates seeking to start their careers, and to gain experience in this role. You should be well-organised with a capacity for hard work, quick to learn and enjoy managing a busy, varied workload.
The Ideal Candidate
- You will be a highly motivated and organised, flexible, adaptive, experienced Personal Assistant, used to working on your own initiative, whilst being able to work collaboratively with colleagues to meet the objectives of the Bishop and his ministry.
- You should have excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Word, Excel and Outlook, along with good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential as is the ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, sensitivity and confidentiality.
- You should be well organized, including experience in the organisation of events, and used to managing conflicting demands, with the ability to prioritise time and resources effectively, often within tight deadlines
- You should have experience of and be effective in, working in a team environment, but be capable of acting on your own initiative as the need arise
Location: London
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
