The 2025 Woolwich Episcopal Area Christmas card is a little different. It has been designed by Elliot Asante, an Illustration alumnus of UAL Camberwell College of Arts. Elliot is based locally in Southeast London, and his design is a reflection on “Christ is born in Southwark”, depicting a familiar scene: the nativity of Christ in a contemporary South London context. You may recognise some of the landmarks. Elliot’s work draws on a wide range influences from traditional art and contemporary pop culture, and he especially likes to work with light. We are enormously grateful to Elliot for his work, and to UAL Chaplain the Revd Mark Dean who welcomed our request and put us in touch with Elliot.
