Hi,

I’m Nicole McKeever, and I’m excited to introduce myself as the new Social Action Development Worker for the Diocese. I’ll be taking on the role previously held by Nelly Misenga.

Over the past decade, God has been growing my heart for the biblical and gospel call to share His love with our neighbours, local communities, and the world. With a background in local church ministry, I have spent the last several years conducting research for my on-going PhD project into the ways which Christian organisations can help the Church respond to food insecurity in the UK. I’ve also had the privilege of volunteering in a variety of community initiatives, including mentoring in schools, working with my local food bank, and serving at my church’s community breakfast club.

In this role, I’ll be supporting churches in their local social action work – predominantly focussing on poverty, homelessness, and refugee aid. I’ll be offering help for churches wanting to get new projects off the ground or apply for funding, running webinars and sharing ideas, information, and stories of hope, and making connections for new partnerships. Having previously studied for my Masters in Missional Spirituality, I’m particularly passionate about helping churches ground their social action and justice work in prayer, the Bible, Church tradition, and, most importantly, the example which Christ offers us all.

Please feel free to get in touch for a chat, to ask questions, or to let me know what you are currently working on in your parish. My email is [email protected], or you can reach me on 020 7939 9415. I’m looking forward to working with you!
