Bishop Christopher recently wrote to all clergy concerning energy costs. In his letter he announced the Church Commissioners’ energy grant for each diocese. He noted that in a Diocese as large as Southwark, the amount for each parish will be around £1400 and this is what we have offered to each parish. Read the full letter here.
A Cost-of-Living Task Group (CLTG) chaired by Bishop Rosemarie, which includes Revd Canon Jay Colwill (Director of Mission), Nicola Thomas (Head of JPIC), Janet Boyce (Parish Finance Officer), Sophia Jones (Director of Communications), Archdeacon John Kiddle and Diocesan Secretary Ruth Martin, has been established to provide parishes with guidance and resources from Government and National Church initiatives through a CLTG Bulletin.
