The Money Makes Change campaign will be a welcome resource. This is a programme from the Ecumenical Council for Corporate Responsibility, helping faith communities and people to make financial choices which will create a fairer and more sustainable world.

If you want your church to take action on climate change but don’t know where to start, have a look at the excellent Climate Emergency Toolkit produced by a group of charities including Green Christian, Operation Noah, and Hope for the Future. For green building initiatives and other works, Marshall’s Charity are offering Church Restoration Grants and the charity is now accepting direct applications from parishes. Their maximum grants will be in the order of £20,000 and deadlines for applications are 26/02/21, 07/05/21 and 20/08/21. Any parishes considering an application are encouraged to speak to their archdeacon before applying.

Finally, if you are pursuing environmental action in your church and need expert advice, the Church of England are offering a fantastic series of webinars covering everything from housekeeping and ‘quick wins’ to energy management, lighting and heating.
