As part of our exciting Diocesan Investment Plan, we’re launching Mission Practitioners, a bold new initiative focused on Children, Young People and their families (CYPF). This is one of the key steps in our journey towards realising our Vision of becoming a younger and more diverse Diocese.

Are you a passionate and experienced, volunteer or paid leader of children, youth or family ministry who feels called to make a lasting impact?

As a Mission Practitioner, you’ll work alongside local churches and their teams to ignite new energy and direction in CYPF (Children, Young People and Families) ministry.

You’ll act as a catalyst for mission:

• Growing faith during key transition phases in children and young people’s lives and reducing drop off.
• Inspiring and supporting volunteers
• Providing practical help and missional insight
• Equipping parishes to develop confident, capable teams for sustainable ministry

You will be:

• Employed by the Diocese of Southwark
• Supported by and based in a local parish that is doing ministry with children, young people and families

There is an option to be a paid or volunteer Mission Practitioner.

There is an occupational requirement that the job holder is a Christian under the Part 1 Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a network of CYP practitioners who are helping churches grow and thrive in their work with children, youth and families.
