This Festival offers an opportunity to servers of all ages to give thanks for the privilege of serving God and church, to rededicate themselves to their ministry and to get to know others from across the diocese who exercise a similar ministry. You will also be able to join the Guild of Servers during the day.

Serious Youth Violence & how churches can make a difference

Led by Ben Lindsay, founder of Power the Fight a new charity which launched in January 2019 to train and empower communities to end youth violence.

The training covers:

Understanding the exploitation of children (county lines)
Understanding the effect of youth violence on women and girls
Spotting signs of vulnerability
Supporting families and communities
What can churches do?

This session is for clergy and lay leaders, including youth leaders. Lunch is included.

It's Your Call: Vocations to Lay Ministry

Do you wonder whether God is calling you to some form of authorised lay minstry? This residential conference explores and encourages vocations to lay ministries such as Reader, SPA (Southwark Pastoral Auxiliary), Pioneer, Church Army evangelist, religious life or mission work. The conference is fully funded by Southwark Diocese. It is free to all participants, who need the support of their incumbent of chaplain to attend.
