The Diocese of Southwark is committed to caring for God’s creation and reducing our carbon footprint. In July, its Diocesan Synod unanimously endorsed a new Environment Policy for the Diocese and we are preparing prayerfully for COP 26 including with the very well-attended Climate Vigil at the Southwark Cathedral last Saturday. We welcome this consultation on plans to get to net zero from the National Church and look forward to studying it carefully and providing a considered response.
