Seventeen people are to be ordained to the Priesthood in the Diocese of Southwark this Petertide, on Saturday 4 July, having served as a Deacon during the past year. They will each serve their curacy in the parish indicated.
The following are to be ordained Priest on Saturday 4 July, at 11.00am by the Bishop of Kingston, The Rt Revd Dr Martin Gainsborough, in the parish church of All Saints, Kingston. Bishop Martin will be joined by Dr Barnabas Palfrey, Tutor in Christian Doctrine & Spirituality and Director of Studies at St Augustine’s College of Theology, who will preach.

Bishop Alastair will be joined by The Revd Carol Barrett Ford, Vicar of the Parish Church of St John-at-Hampstead, who will be preaching after having led the pre-ordination retreat.

Antonio Joseph, St Michael & All Angels w St James, Croydon is to be ordained Priest on Saturday, 4th July at 10.30am, by the Bishop of Fulham, The Rt Revd Jonathan Baker, with the Bishop of Southwark, The Rt Revd Christopher Chessun in attendance, in the parish church of St Michael & All Angels Croydon.
Bishop Christopher commends all those to be ordained Priest to your prayers: “Our candidates for the Priesthood are already serving in parishes across the Diocese of Southwark, exercising ministry as Deacons and now, God willing, shortly to be ordained also as priests. They are obtaining vital education and wisdom within their curacies which will be invaluable in their future ministry. I am thankful for their dedication to their vocation and thank all those who have been with them on this journey. I commend them to your prayers especially in these coming days. May they be filled with holiness, truth, and faith in the future, putting their trust in the Lord.”
