Could you spot the signs of Modern Slavery in your social action context?

This month we are joined by Chris and Jennifer from SAMS (Southwark Against Modern Slavery). They will be sharing how we can recognise signs that a guest of our social action ministry (this could be anything from running a food bank or visiting care homes) is a victim of modern slavery. They will help us to safely respond and report to the relevant authorities.

This webinar is for anyone involved with running or volunteering in any social action setting, whether that’s a food bank, debt centre, community café and coffee morning, warm space, winter night shelter, outreach to local care homes, asylum seeker support, etc.

This webinar is part of the Building Effective Social Action series.

How we build effective social action ministries that affirm the dignity and worth of all those we walk alongside?

Each month we take on a new topic, hearing from experienced practitioners and opening up a conversation amongst people across the diocese. Every webinar stands alone, so you’re free to attend the sessions most relevant to you, or come along to all of them.

All are welcome, whether you have years of experience in social action or are still in the planning stage.
