We are seeking to appoint a priest chaplain to our popular, inclusive Church of England secondary school in Camberwell, South London. The chaplain will exercise an inclusive catholic ministry which is pastoral, offering spiritual leadership amongst students and staff of the school, working in close collaboration with the Principal.
The Chaplain will support and encourage the spiritual lives of those who profess a Christian faith, whilst welcoming those of other faiths and of none. The Chaplain will work closely with others to ensure the effective pastoral care of all staff and students, including our growing Hispanic population. The Chaplain will support the school in its outreach in the community, working with vulnerable families, supporting local primary schools, and maintaining links with parishes and the Southwark Diocese. Whilst the chaplain will be a full time member of the Leadership Team in school, they will also be rooted in the local community as an assistant priest in the parish church, St John the Divine, Kennington.
