The Oxted Team of Churches is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, approachable, imaginative and suitably qualified and experienced person to be the Team’s Part-time Youth Worker.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the ministry team in the communities of Oxted, Hurst Green, Tandridge and Crowhurst in Surrey.

Together with the role holder, we want to develop our ministry and discipleship to the ‘tweens and teens’ and their families.  This will include:

  • Grow relationships and fellowship amongst tweens and teens
  • Strengthen existing connections with local Junior and Secondary schools
  • Support established youth work volunteers across the team and develop groups that already meet
  • Seek new ways to help young people grow spiritually and live out their Christian faith
  • Empower young people to serve and lead in their churches

The appointment is for an initial period of one year.

Hours are part-time constituting 15 hours per week

Salary is £10,000 per annum

Closing date for applications is 27th July 2022

Interviews will be soon after, dependent on availability

A job description and person specification are available by emailing [email protected] or calling Revd Anna, Team Rector, on 01883 712674, who is also available for an informal conversation.
