Salary:£30,000 Pro-rata
Location:St Alfege Church
Hours: 15 hours per week
Type of Contract: One-year fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension
A bit about St Alfege Church
St Alfege Church is the Grade I listed parish church in the heart of the World Heritage Site in Greenwich. There has been a church on the site for nearly a thousand years, dedicated to Alfege the Archbishop of Canterbury martyred on the site in 1012. Today the church has a diverse congregation, a thriving church school and a strong choral musical tradition. We have also just completed our Heart of Greenwich Place and People Project which was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The project has reinforced the church’s position as a heritage asset at the heart of Greenwich, revealing and interpreting our hidden spaces and heritage for visitors, school children, their families and the local community
A bit about you
You will have demonstrable experience of managing engagement programmes in a heritage, art or museum setting. Your communication skills will help you maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and communities. You will be passionate about working with volunteers and providing an engaging heritage experience for visitors to the church.
