Saint Michael & All Angels, Barnes
Saint Michael’s is a thriving parish church in the catholic tradition of the Church of England, situated in south-west London. We are seeking to appoint an accomplished, creative and inspirational musician to enrich our worship with beautiful music to the glory of God.
Saint Michael’s has a long-established musical tradition with an excellent choir and organ, as well as choral and organ scholars and administrative support. The new Director of Music will maintain and enhance this tradition whilst also broadening participation by making links in the community.
We have recently started a Children’s Choir as an important Mission Action Plan project and a new Director of Music will have a key role in taking this forward, either themselves (for additional remuneration) or recruiting a suitable leader/musician.
Saint Michael’s is a member of Inclusive Church.
An enhanced DBS will be required.
To begin from September 2024 or as soon thereafter as possible
Remuneration: 10.5k + fees and other benefits (1/1.5 days p/w)
Applications deadline: 3pm on Thursday 27th June
Interviews: Saturday 13 July (preferably) or by arrangement.
