Salary: £41,300 per annum plus benefits

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

 

We’re currently seeking a Development Operations Manager, a new and exciting role at St Paul’s Cathedral, to join our dynamic Development team.

 

As part of the team, you’ll support with fundraising to protect and develop of one of the most iconic buildings in the world, with a history that goes back some 1,400 years, with the role of Development Operations Manager focussed on:

 

  • working closely with the Director of Development to develop a successful mid-high level prospective donor, stewardship and legacy strategy and programme;
  • assessing and researching prospect donors;
  • creating prospect donor and legacy pipelines to achieve fundraising targets;
  • managing mid-high level donors; and
  • ensuring all fundraising complies with relevant charitable legislation.

 

To achieve this, we are looking for you to:

  • demonstrate an impressive track record in fundraising, stewardship, legacy giving, fundraising compliance and membership development;
  • have proven strategy development experience;
  • be a confident networker, with marketing and effective and clear written and verbal communication skills;
  • have project management experience, ideally within complex organisations;
  • be passionate about the St Paul’s mission with the can-do attitude required for this work.

In the past two years, under the guidance of the Director of Development, the Development team have achieved significant success, including increasing voluntary income by over 300% and realising the Remember Me project – an online book of remembrance and raising over £2.7m for a physical memorial in the Cathedral for those who have died as result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Should you be successful, you will join St Paul’s Cathedral at a very special time as it looks towards hosting The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving in 2022, with a host of linked celebratory and fundraising events planned, and celebrating the 300th Anniversary of Wren in 2023.
