Westminster Abbey has established a new Engagement Team and is seeking to appoint a Community Engagement Facilitator. You will deliver engagement opportunities at the Abbey for Christian youth/community groups, families and young people in line with the content and social engagement strategies. This will include a monthly family day, regular school holiday activities and some tours and workshops with community groups.

Salary: £15,073 (FTE £30,146) per annum

To undertake the role, you will have experience of working with under 18s and best practice in informal learning, excellent communication skills, with ability to adapt visit programmes to accommodate children from different ability groups, whilst utilising your experience of engaging with visitors visiting in family groups. As your experience will also include having worked with young people in a Christian setting, such as a Church youth group or Cathedral learning team, in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010, there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the successful candidate to be a committed Christian, as you will be expected to lead Christian teaching with individuals as part of your role.
