Overview

St Luke’s is a lively and thriving church situated in a residential area between Clapham and Wandsworth Commons. It is a liberal catholic church and is an inclusive church, with a generally well educated, articulate and internationally diverse congregation. We want to grow in faith and, with other local churches, to provide a stronger Anglican presence in the neighbourhood and attract a higher proportion of the parish to join the congregation.

Introduction

This is an opportunity to minister creatively across a variety of contexts with a diversity of styles: schools, formal sung liturgy, Book of Common Prayer services and children’s events.

The Parish and the Vicar seek a collaborative priest to join them in developing our growing outreach to families and young people.

The position would suit a pioneer priest with a love for music and for work with children as we grow from a focus on early years to all ages.

We offer:

  • a congregation welcoming new ideas to grow spiritually and numerically,
  • a supportive and experienced ministry and administrative team,
  • a lovely 3-bedroom house on Clapham Common,
  • a vibrant cultural and academic life.

If you have any questions or would like an informal conversation with the Vicar or the Church Wardens prior to completing the application form, please email the Parish Office Manager: [email protected]
