We are seeking a well organised, punctual methodical and quick thinking individual to join our Reception and Office team. As the afternoon receptionist, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth running of reception and be the first point of contact for parents, carers, visitors, pupils, students and staff. You will have experience in understanding the needs to support parents and carers, the assertiveness to be patient and provide a professional front line service. Knowledge of school office procedures is desirable, alongside high-level literacy skills with a good eye for detail. The successful candidate will also be able to efficiently manage their time and prioritise tasks depending on their importance.
Duties will include:
- Answering incoming calls
- Monitor and respond to email communication and forward correspondence to the relevant member of staff
- Manage deliveries to reception
- Process incoming/outgoing post
- Support the school office with a range of administration and reception duties
- Support with the administration and organisation of Parents Evenings and other school events
- Liaise with parents, carers, the local authority and any other outside agencies
- To accurately maintain and oversee meeting room diaries and minibus booking
- To maintain pupil records ensuring that staff, parents, carers, internal and external agencies are provided with relevant information
A knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) is desirable.
