Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The members of the CTG hope you are continuing to have a blessed Easter.  We know that many are struggling at present financially and that food access is a difficulty for many.   We thought therefore that it would be good to forward this document to you which has been placed on the Diocesan website at the link below.  The material will be regularly updated and the updates will also be available on this link.

  1. Food Access Resources. Nelly Misenga, the Together Southwark Development Officer for the Diocese, has put together an important resource which covers assistance to food access for people who are struggling during the COVID pandemic. It includes information about all currently available support outside the scope of food banks categorized by local authorities and covering the entire geographical area of the Diocese of Southwark. The aim is to update this document regularly as information changes frequently during this unprecedented situation.

The complete document or the resources for each local authority can be found here: https://southwark.anglican.org/coronavirus/food-access/

  1. As you may realise, this time of lockdown can be difficult in some families and the National Safeguarding Team has issued some information and advice on domestic abuse which we think it would be good to share with you.  You can find it at the link below.

With our prayers for a blessed Eastertide,

The Coronavirus Task Group
