This session will offer practical suggestions and ideas to churches offering or thinking about offering ‘Holidays at Home’ for older people in their communities. These are often run during summer month when other activities close down.
The session will by ‘kick started’ by hearing from the Furzedown churches, who have been offering ‘Holidays at Home’ since 2009. This session will be of interest to both those with experience of this ministry – join this session to network and share experiences of lessons learned and what has worked well – and to those who are looking to begin this ministry in their parish.
