Have you wondered what part you could play in seeing your church flourish and grow? Have you been unsure what it is that you have to offer? Would you like support and training to be more effective in all you do? If you answer yes to any of these then this morning may well be for you.
As we come out of lockdown this summer, we want to support you and the churches and parishes of the Diocese in your mission and ministry. One of the recent ways that we are seeking to do this is a renewed emphasis on Lay ministries. As a result of Setting God’s people free and the report on lay ministry we are expanding the range of recognised ministries that the Diocese offers. You will have the opportunity to learn about the wide variety of lay ministries including new Lay Pioneers, Family, Children and Youth Ministries as well as Lay Readers, SPA ministry, Church Army and the permanent diaconate.
This morning will be an opportunity for you to come and see what we are now offering and how this might help you in your ministry and call from God. This morning is aimed at giving you information that will enable you to explore your call further. Our prayer is that this morning will help you and support new and existing ministries within our churches.
