Events & Training
Courses are open to everyone. There are two main paths: a central training programme and the local training programme.
Central Training Programme
All our courses can be found in the Childen & Young People's Leaflet
They are mostly free to members of the Anglican Diocese of Southwark or heavily subsidised.
Please visit our Eventbrite page to find out more and book places on our courses
Local Training Programme
The local training programme is aimed at clusters of churches and deaneries who want to run training tailored to their local needs. Advice and guidance is offered to ensure maximum effectiveness. The CYPM&M local training fund is available to help pay for any trainer costs (T+C’s apply). Get in touch to see how we can support your local ministry.
The Key: This is our core, basic course for those engaged or interested in work with CYP. It does not assume experience and yet offers much for lively discussion, reflection and development of practice. It works especially well with volunteer teams from churches. Topics include values and priorities, leading sessions; safe practice and resourcing your work. Led by our CYP team.
Meet Gen Z: This half day or evening session is aimed at helping your church think about the culture that our young people inhabit and how we can share faith between the different generations. Led by Aike Kennett-Brown
