Fairtrade Fortnight 2010 - 22 February to 7 March

To mark Fairtrade Fortnight 2010 the Fairtrade Diocese Working Group has organised two exciting events.

Talk by the Chief Executive of Traidcraft.

We are delighted to announce that Paul Chandler, the Chief Executive of Traidcraft will be giving a talk entitled “The Future of Fairtrade” at St George the Martyr, Borough High Street on Thursday 25th February at 6pm. Open to everybody it will be a free event – but you must register by contacting the Groups Support Officer by e-mail here or on 020 7939 9412. Fairtrade refreshments and products will be available. If you would like to publicise the event you can download a poster here.

Big Swap Competition

The theme of the Fairtrade Fortnight is “The Big Swap” and we are being challenged to swap our usual products for Fairtrade ones. In keeping with this theme there has been a competition running asking people to identify as many swaps as they could possibly make in one day.

There were three different age groups to enter in and Fairtrade goodies to be won from Divine and Traidcraft.

The winners will have their prizes presented to them by Paul Chandler on the 25th and a list of winners will appear in the March Bridge.

The competition is now closed - winners names soon
