SOUTHWARK CATHEDRAL
Stewardship Officer
(£28,000 pro rata for 17.5 hour week
1 year contract with possibility of extension)

Applications are invited for this new post based in and around the Cathedral and offices next to London Bridge. This role has been created with the key objective of increasing congregational planned giving and stewardship.

The part-time position is offered as a one year contract with the possibility of extension. The postholder will be required to engage with members of the congregation at cathedral services on Sundays and weekdays as necessary.

We are looking for someone with experience of Christian stewardship, willing to play an active part in the worshipping community at the Cathedral and able to demonstrate pastoral sensitivity when dealing with the congregation.

Ecumenical Chaplain to London’s HIV Community
(salary £26,100p.a.)

Applications for this full-time post are invited from ordained people from the Anglican, Methodist, Roman Catholic and United Reformed communions. The post holder will be accountable to a sponsoring body representing participating churches but located within, and managed by, the London Ecumenical Aids Trust (LEAT).

In the first instance this will be a three-year appointment.

The post will offer a focus for expressions of Christian presence and pastoral care within London’s HIV community as well as a resource for church leaders and congregations.

Mitcham Parish Church
ORGANIST & DIRECTOR OF MUSIC

Liberal Catholic parish in South London requires musician with a feel for modern hymnody, chant and song; able to accompany and enliven congregational singing. Responsibilities include support and encouragement of a small adult choir, leading music at the 10am Parish Eucharist and at festivals, and working with the parish priest to maintain a sensitive integration of music, liturgy and devotion to God.

Retreat and Conference Centre of the Southwark Diocese in rural Surrey

Team Member Post

If you have enthusiasm, a willingness to serve others and a Christian commitment, then you may be the sort of person we are looking for to provide visitors to Wychcroft with a warm and welcoming environment in which to meet, work or take time out of busy lives for reflection. Some cooking experience and the ability to drive would be useful; also important is your belief that you can make a positive contribution.

We are looking for an initial commitment of around a year so you may find this ideal if you are taking a ‘year out’, are a recent graduate or are simply looking to explore your vocation.
