Our Vision

A people with hearts on fire, loving God, walking with Jesus and led by the Spirit

Vicar, St Paul, Clapham

St Paul’s is a church in the liberal Catholic tradition in the heart of Clapham, near the Common, in South London.

We seek a new vicar to lead and nurture our inclusive and diverse congregation and to broaden our outreach within the parish and Clapham. We are a strong and friendly community, keen to maintain our inclusive welcome to all and wish to hear from applicants with a strong theological background.

The congregation enjoys good preaching and follows traditional seasonal liturgy, using mostly Common Worship.

A Georgian building dating from 1815, on the site of a much older church, with an adjoining large community hall, the church is set in its own grounds in a lovely green space with churchyard, gardens, and a large five- bedroomed detached vicarage.

There is a fine Victorian organ and a strong appreciation of Anglican church music, as well as many musical events held in the church.

We seek a new vicar with enthusiasm and good humour for the opportunities and challenges to develop the next stage of our life in this interesting parish.
