Refugee Coordinator, Department of Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation (JPIC), London Bridge
Part time – 17.5 hours per week
£26,000 – £28,000 pa pro-rata
We are looking for a passionate Refugee Co-ordinator to lead the implementation of the Diocese of Southwark’s response to the refugee crisis, and support for domestic asylum seekers in the parishes of South London and East Surrey.
This is a challenging and varied role, with duties ranging from undertaking research and keeping abreast of changes to asylum seeker and immigration legislation, to formulating links within the Diocese and with external lead agencies to support refugees and asylum seekers.
You will need to have experience of working with groups on refugee and asylum seekers related matters and a good understanding of the issues facing refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. Good interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be communicating and collaborating with people at all levels.
